Time to Order Books?

I know it's hard to believe, but spring break is only 2 weeks away, and that means we will be halfway through the semester. Spring break is a good time to start thinking about books that may need to be ordered for your course reserves in the summer or fall semester.

It generally takes us about 4-6 weeks to receive books that are ordered for reserve. That lead time can help us meet and exceed your needs which is what we strive to do.

Not sure if the library has books that you want to use? Call us at 631-7578, or email us at reserves.1@nd.edu and we will be happy to check the catalog for you and get back to you within 24-hours.

January 2008 Not Business as Usual

We knew this spring would be a busy one for E-Reserves, but I'm not sure anyone was prepared for just how busy January was for us. Here are a few statistics:
  • 290 E-Reserve courses were posted
  • 4,839 items were processed
All of those things were created by just 3 staff, and 1 student worker with just a tiny bit of help from the Supervisor (seriously like 1%). Just to give you an idea of how huge this is, in 2004-05 for the whole year, 6,604 items were processed (this includes fall, spring, and summer sessions).

Kudos to the staff for their efforts, all without complaint and high praise from the faculty being served.
